How to buy a healthy betta fish

Betta fishes are one of the most beautiful fishes...the way they swim,the way they flare attracts the people....today we are going to learn to how to buy a healthy beta fish...

1.Go to a pet store 

Go to a pet store nearby and ask for a betta fish.usually males are bright in colour than females.you can also buy these fishes online.For example:1)www.bunnycart.com

2)check If It Is Active Or Not

Use your fingers to get his/her attention and do not tap on the tank otherwise the fish gets scared.The fish should move actively.If the fish is not active and laying on bottom side of the tank,then its not good for you to buy that fish.

3)choose the right colour

The male Bettas are generally bright in colour.male fishes with dull colour are not advisable to buy.

The female bettas are generally short and dull in colour

4)check the eyes

The eyes should be dark in colour.Its not good for you to buy if the eyes are bulged out.The fish will flare if you place a mirror in front of it.

                                Tips

1)Do not buy betta fishes from pet stores like pet smart because they keep them in small bowls.

2)Place a heating machine in your aquarium tank because they come from tropical regions with warm temperatures 75-80°f

3)Don't put two male betta fishes in the same tank because they will fight with each other.
