               In this post I am going to show you how many tail types and patterns are there  in betta fish family.🐠🐠

1)TAIL TYPES:

A)veiltail:

          The veil tail  is one of the most readily available betta types in the market.The veiltail bettas are easily  identified by their long,asymentrical caudal fin,which naturally troops downwards.

B)CROWNTAIL:

         Crowntail bettas have striking tail.They receive their name from their spiky fins in their tail.

C)Halfmoon:

  Halfmoons receive their name from their beautiful  caudal fin,which spreads at a 180 degree angle like a halfmoon.

D)plakat:

     Plakats are also known as "short-finned bettas".They are slightly more aggressive and active.

E)DOUBLE TAIL:

     The caudal fin of these bettas looks like splitted in to half or looks like they have two tails.

F) Spade tail:

          Spade tail bettas are pretty rare to come by.Their fin is shaped in a point like a spade.They are often mistaken as veiltails.

G)Rosetail:

    The rose tail originally was a halfmoon,but as breeders were trying to breed the perfect halfmoon,it's fins started to overlap,forming a rose effect.

H)super delta:

    Superdeltas are similar to halfmoons,but their caudal fin is rounder and slightly smaller.Their fins can spread from 120-160°.

GAINTS:

     Giant bettas were bred over years to become bigger and bigger.Breeders simply bred the largest betta they had with another one,and repeated this step so many times with their fry,that the bettas grew to be more than twice as big as the standard betta.

2)PATTERNS:

A)Butterfly:

     Butterflies usually have one or two colours on their body,and always have a white or clear band around their fins.

B)MARBLE:

    Marble bettas usually have a pale body with colourful specks all over the body.

C)cambodian:

Cambodian bettas have a fleshy coloured body with red,blue and green.

DRAGONSCALE:

    Dragon scale bettas are a newer pattern of bettas. They usually have a strong base with their scales highlighted(like a reptile).
