Difference between male and female betta fish

             Hey everyone..today we are going Learn the difference between male and female betta fish.
        
             Generally betta fishes are a known as fighting fishes.Don't worry guys its easy to know the sex of your betta.

Anatomical factors like size and shape

1)FINS:see the fins of your betta fish.

      Males:ventral,caudal and pelvic fins of male betta fish are generally long than their body.

      Females:fins of female betta are short.

2)colour:

           Generally male Bettas are bright in colour.Females are dull in colour.

3)size and shape:

           Male bettas are generally thin and long while female bettas are  short and thick.

4)BEARD:

   Both the male and female bettas will have beard.But the beard is small in females.Beard is present below the gill plates.The beard in males comes out when they flare.

5)EGGSPOT:

    This is the easy way to know the sex of your betta.

     Eggspot is present in female betta fish near the pelvic fin.Egg spot plays an important role during reproduction.

Psychological behavior

1)Bubble nest:

            Generally male betta fishes make bubble nest in order to keep the eggs safe.

2)Flaring:

     Keep a mirror in front of the tank.If it is a male betta fish it will flare after seeing its shadow.

1)when your are going to buy a fish in the store ask the seller about the sex of the fish.
